Privacy Policy

Benson Building Services ("we", "us") operates this website. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site collects, why, and what choices you have. It is a description of how the site actually works — not a legal certification or a guarantee.

Information you submit

When you send a project request, we receive only what you choose to enter: your name and contact details, the property and project information you describe, your scheduling or contact preferences, and any photos or documents you attach. Attachments are stored privately and are not published on this website.

Marketing attribution

To understand which pages and referrals lead to project requests, the site records a small, first-party set of values the first time you arrive:

• a general lead-source category (for example: direct, organic search, referral);
• the landing page pathname only;
• the referring website's hostname only;
• the five standard campaign fields — utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term.

These values are kept in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days and are submitted with a project request if you send one. We do not store arbitrary query parameters, advertising click identifiers, URL fragments, full referring URLs, or any device fingerprint.

Optional analytics

The site supports Google Analytics, which runs only when both conditions are true: a valid measurement ID has been configured for the site, and you have chosen "Allow analytics" in the analytics preference prompt. If no measurement ID is configured, no analytics prompt appears and no analytics script loads at all. If you allow analytics, Google may set cookies and process device and usage information under its own terms. You can change your choice at any time using the "Analytics choices" control in the site footer; declining or revoking stops further analytics activity and removes Google Analytics' own cookies for this site. Analytics never receives your name, email, phone number, message text, attachment names or address.

How we use information

• to review and respond to your request;
• to send you a confirmation of your request where that email is enabled;
• to route your request to the correct internal inbox, based on the town you select and whether the property is commercial or residential;
• to prepare, schedule and coordinate work if a project moves forward;
• to operate and secure the website, including limiting automated abuse;
• to understand marketing performance in aggregate.

How we use your contact information

Your name, email address and phone number are used only to respond to and carry out the request you sent: to confirm we received it, to ask questions, to arrange a walkthrough, to send a proposal, to confirm scheduling, and to follow up on that request. We do not sell, rent or trade contact details, we do not pass them to outside contractors or partners as a lead, and a project request does not add you to a marketing list. If we ever offer a mailing list, it will be a separate opt-in with an unsubscribe link.

You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to any email from us or by using the unsubscribe link it contains.

Emails the site can send

The site is built to send, when request-response email is enabled, a single confirmation email to you about the request you submitted and an internal alert to a Benson Building Services inbox. These are request-response emails, not marketing. Internal alerts can only be delivered to a small, fixed set of internal Benson Building Services addresses; routing your details to outside contractors or partners is not enabled.

Email is delivered through an email delivery service acting on our behalf. To keep delivery working, we keep a record of messages sent (recipient address, template, status and any delivery error), addresses that have bounced, reported a complaint or unsubscribed, and a single unsubscribe token per address. If you unsubscribe, we keep that record so we do not email you again.

Service providers

We use third-party providers to host the website, store data and attachments, deliver email and — if you allow it — measure site usage. Those providers process information on our behalf for those purposes, which means data submitted here does not stay solely on our own equipment. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Retention

We keep project inquiries and attachments for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, to carry out and document any work, and to keep ordinary business records. We have not set a fixed deletion date, and this page is not a guarantee of a specific retention period.

Security

Attachments are held in private storage that is not publicly browsable, and internal access to a file uses a short-lived link that expires shortly after it is issued. Administrative access is limited to authorized accounts. No system connected to the internet is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Your choices

• You can browse the site without submitting anything.
• You can decline analytics, and change that choice later, in the footer.
• You can clear the stored attribution values at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
• You can ask us what we hold about your inquiry, or ask us to delete it.
