Terms of Use

Effective August 9, 2026

These terms describe how the Benson Building Services website may be used. By browsing the site or sending a project request, you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit a request.

What this website is

This site describes commercial building repairs, improvements and facility support available in Chittenden County, Vermont, and provides a way to send a project request. Nothing on the site is an offer, a quote, a contract, or a promise of availability. Scope, schedule and price are agreed separately in writing before work begins.

Sending a project request

  • Submitting a request starts a conversation. It does not book work, reserve a date, or create an agreement of any kind.
  • We may decline, or refer a request elsewhere, if it is outside our service area, outside what we do, or requires a licensed trade we do not self-perform.
  • Intake may be paused or limited to commercial requests. The site shows the current status, and requests are accepted only while intake is open.
  • Please give accurate information about yourself and the property. If you are not the owner, you confirm you are authorized to request work on the property.
  • Do not include payment card numbers, passwords, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal data in a request or attachment.

How we use your contact information

We use the name, email address and phone number you provide for one purpose: to respond to and carry out the request you sent. Specifically, we may:

  • send you one automatic confirmation of your request, where that email is enabled;
  • email, call or text you about that request — for example to ask questions, arrange a walkthrough, send a proposal or confirm scheduling;
  • route your request internally to the right inbox, based on the town you select and whether the property is commercial or residential.

Internal routing can only deliver to a small, fixed set of internal Benson Building Services addresses. We do not sell, rent or trade your contact details, and we do not pass them to outside contractors or partners as a lead. We do not add you to a marketing newsletter from a project request. If we ever offer one, it will be a separate, clearly labeled opt-in with an unsubscribe link.

Every email we send about a request is a request-response message. You can reply and ask us to stop contacting you, or use the unsubscribe link included in our email, and we will keep that preference on file. Full detail on what is collected and stored is in our Privacy Policy.

Attachments you upload

Photos and documents you attach are stored privately and are not published on this website. Uploads are limited in size and file type, and files are checked before they are accepted. By uploading, you confirm you have the right to share those files with us. We will not publish a project photo or case study without documented written permission from the customer or property owner.

Acceptable use

  • Do not submit false, automated, abusive or spam requests.
  • Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, probe the site's security, scrape it in bulk, or interfere with its operation.
  • Do not upload malicious files or content you do not have the right to share.

We may block requests or restrict access to keep the site working for everyone.

Content and accuracy

Site text, layout, logo and photographs are owned by Benson Building Services or used with permission and may not be reproduced without permission. We keep the descriptions here as accurate as we can, but pages may be out of date or contain errors, and general guidance on this site is not a substitute for an engineering report, code inspection or certification.

Licensed trades

Work requiring a licensed trade, including electrical work, is coordinated through licensed and insured trade partners. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim that Benson Building Services self-performs regulated work.

Liability

The website is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by Vermont law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website or from reliance on information published here. This does not limit obligations under a signed agreement for actual work.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business and the site change. The effective date above shows the current version, and continued use of the site means the current version applies.

Questions about these terms can be sent to bensonbuildingservicesvt@gmail.com, including while project intake is paused.
